Vice President, Customer & Stakeholder Relations

Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President, Customer & Stakeholder Relations holds the critical role of overseeing customer service operations and external communications for the Company. As the steward of GBPC’s reputation, you will lead the team’s communications and customer service teams, including public relations, media relations and stakeholder management, as well as taking the lead in guiding GBPC’s customer service philosophy. You will ensure the Company’s processes and policies enable employees to deliver exceptional customer service, all the while working closely with the leadership team to build a corporate culture focused on continuous improvement. Working closely with the communications team and leadership at Emera Inc, the primary shareholder of GBPC, you will collaborate often with your colleagues to ensure your plans align well with the overall strategic direction of the organization.
With several years’ experience in a strategic communications role focused on customer service, media relations, public relations, and building solid relationships with key stakeholders, you are an experienced leader who effectively builds consensus, solves complex problems, relates well to a broad audience, and quickly gains the trust and respect of those around you. Knowledgeable in change management, you have lead process improvement initiatives to enhance the customer’s experience and you are never satisfied with the status quo. You bring honesty and straightforwardness when dealing with others and, as a forward thinker, you are focused, determined and optimistic.
